Registration requirements
| Most of the firms conducting business in Montana are members of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the industry's self-regulatory body. Therefore, the Montana Securities Department uses the FINRA's Central Registration Depository to register FINRA member firms. All of the paperwork and fees are submitted to the CRD. If, however, your firm is not an FINRA member firm, send the required materials to the department at the address listed below. |

- $200.00 fee.
- For FINRA firms, make payable to the CRD.
- Non-FINRA firms make payable to Montana State Auditor.
