MONTANA INSURANCE CONTINUING EDUCATION
RECIPROCAL STATES

Producer Licensees:  Montana is reciprocal with all states for insurance continuing education requirements.  Complete the insurance continuing education requirement in your state of residence and submit the renewal compliance form prior to the license lapse/renew by date on the face of the individual Montana license.

Adjuster Licensees:  Montana is reciprocal with Alaska , Delaware , Florida , Georgia , Louisiana , Massachusetts , Mississippi , Nebraska , New Hampshire , North Carolina , Oklahoma , Tennessee , Texas , Utah and Wyoming .  If you live in one of these states and meet the insurance continuing education requirement for your state of residence, submit the renewal compliance form prior to the license lapse/renew by date on the face of the individual Montana license.

Adjusters who live in states without an insurance continuing education requirement must meet the Montana continuing education requirement during the biennial (2 year) period that precedes the license lapse/renew by date on the face of the individual Montana license.  The requirement is 24 credit hours of Montana-approved insurance continuing education.  A minimum of 1 credit hour must address legislative changes to Montana insurance statutes.  Lists of sponsoring organizations (course providers) offering Montana-approved courses appear at the bottom of the continuing education web page at: http://www.sao.mt.gov/insurance/ce.asp
