As Montana State Auditor, John Morrison is also a member of the State Land Board by virtue of his office. As a Land Board Commissioner, State Auditor Morrison oversees and helps make decisions about the uses of the 5.2 million acres of land owned by the state. Dave Van Nice is the staff member who handles land board questions for State Auditor Morrison. If you have questions about state land policies or if you want to express an opinion about state land matters, contact Dave at dvannice@mt.gov State Land Board meetings are held monthly, usually on the third Monday.
