Morrison appointed to national health insurance committee
Montana State Auditor John Morrison has been appointed to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' Health Insurance and Managed Care Committee.
The 12-member committee is charged with helping states cooperate and share resources in the development of solutions to insurance problems.
"Finding ways to reduce the number of uninsured people will be one of the committee's primary goals," Morrison said.
As part of its responsibilities the committee will develop model acts and regulations for state health care initiatives, review state and federal relations with respect to health care initiatives, and review managed health care reforms and other forms of health care delivery.
