Montana Financial Education Coalition The Montana Financial Education Coalition  (MFEC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting personal financial education in Montana.  The MFEC is incorporated under the laws of the State of Montana and is an affiliate of the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.  Our mission is to improve the personal financial knowledge and decision-making ability of Montana citizens of all ages and demographic groups by promoting public awareness of the need for personal financial education, and by uniting and building capacity of financial education programs.  Our definition of financial education encompasses all programs or services that help people achieve financial health including, but not limited to, basic knowledge for all age groups about savings and investing, budgeting and credit; youth banking initiatives; first time homebuyer education; predatory lending and identity theft awareness; credit counseling and retirement planning.
