Most of the firms conducting business in Montana are members of the National Association of Securities Dealers (FINRA), the industry's self-regulatory body. Therefore, the Montana Securities Department uses the FINRA's Central Registration Depository to register FINRA member firms. All of the paperwork and fees are submitted to the CRD.
